Why we exist
A destination, not a drop-off
Gusheshe Garage started as an opportunity to build a business that reflects a genuine appreciation for quality vehicles and meticulous workmanship — and to build a premium brand that customers actually trust rather than one that simply advertises well.
The intention was never to be another installer. It was to establish a destination on the East Rand where vehicle owners know their investment will be cared for with expertise, precision and pride. That is a higher bar than fitting film, and it is the one we set out to clear.
The near-term goal is to be the place people go for anything XPEL. Beyond that, the business will expand into sourcing and building one-off vehicles in-house — the same standard of work, applied to whole cars instead of their surfaces.
Film is only part of it. Our detailing is certified to Marbleberry standard, in partnership with the Johannesburg studio that set it — which means correction and finishing here are measured against an external benchmark rather than our own opinion of our work. It is the discipline that has to come first anyway: no coating bonds properly to a surface that has not been prepared, and no film hides a defect underneath.
We are also an official distributor of Tire Stickers SA and a fitment centre for permanent tyre lettering — 47 licensed marks, custom text and 49 stripe finishes, designed on this site and bonded into the sidewall rather than stuck onto it. It is a small thing that changes how a car reads, and it is the kind of detail this business exists to get right.

Genuine XPEL product, bought through the authorised South African distributor, fitted by certified installers. Counterfeit film is a real problem in this market, and the only defence is buying from a verified dealer.

How a job runs
Seven stages, nothing skipped
The order matters more than any single step: correction before film, film before coating, and cure time before the keys go back.

Consultation
We look at the vehicle, how you use it and what you want to still be true about it in five years. Then we recommend coverage — not a package. Detailing and tyre lettering are quoted in the same conversation, because they are usually the same visit.
- 02
Specification
Panels, film grade, coating and coverage confirmed in writing, with the XPEL warranty term for each product stated up front. A detail is specified by correction stage; tyre lettering by mark, stripe, rim size and letter height.
- 03
Preparation
Wash, chemical and mechanical decontamination, clay treatment and paint correction where needed. Nothing goes on top of defects. Tyres are stripped of dressings and silicone — lettering will not bond to a dressed sidewall.

Installation
Pre-cut XPEL patterns installed in a controlled, dust-managed bay by certified installers, with edges wrapped where the panel allows. Correction work is machine-polished in stages, and lettering is bonded tyre by tyre.

Curing
Film and coating are given the time and conditions they actually need to cure before the vehicle is released. Tyre lettering cures too — it is not ready for a wash the moment it is on.

Inspection & Handover
Final inspection under corrected lighting, a walkthrough of what was done, written warranty documentation and your aftercare schedule — including how to wash film, coating and lettering without undoing any of them.

Aftercare
Annual inspections, complimentary film health checks, ceramic top-ups, detailing on a schedule that suits the car, and upgrade paths for as long as you own the vehicle.

Most installers finish when you drive away
We do not. Protection is a relationship with the vehicle, not a transaction on a Tuesday — so everything below is part of owning a car we have worked on, for as long as you own it. That covers film and coating, the detailing schedule that keeps the finish where we left it, and the tyre lettering we fitted.

Every XPEL product we install carries its own manufacturer warranty, running from two to ten years depending on the film or coating specified. The exact term for your job is stated on the quote before work starts and documented with your invoice at handover.
